The impact you'll make

As a Technical Program Manager at Lam, you are not just overseeing projects—you are orchestrating breakthroughs that help bring our systems to customers faster, at lower cost, and with the highest quality, positively impacting long-term profitability. You lead cross‑functional teams through successful project execution, combining deep technical expertise with strong strategic planning to deliver new or enhanced products. Your role is critical, with end‑to‑end ownership of technical programs from initiation through delivery, applying disciplined planning, direction, and control of schedules and budgets.

What you'll do

  • Over-see the optimization or creation of technical product offerings, processes, or programs, developing project plans, aligning teams, managing risk, and driving projects through release.
  • Take ownership and accountability for the success of projects and cross-functional teams to ensure program schedules, performance metrics, and delivery meets business requirements on time and within budget.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand process and system requirements, and deliver enhancements based on a changing technology landscape.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects from inception to impactful results.
  • Perform data collection and statistical analysis, and report results to inform program schedules and deliverables.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve the process and inspire alignment.
  • Deliver change management for programs that are sustainable and maintains long-term success.
  • Successfully navigate multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of continuous improvement or technical program management.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating influence skills to deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in or knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, Semiconductor Equipment Operations, or related industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology or certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools including MS Project, QuickBase, Office Timeline, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Change Management methodologies is a plus.

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry (https://www.metalltechnischeindustrie.at/fileadmin/content/Dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/KV-2025_2026/FMTI_Mindesgehaltstabelle_2025.pdf) in the occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

As a Technical Program Manager at Lam, you are not just overseeing projects – you're orchestrating breakthroughs in support of [insert strategic initiative]. You'll lead cross-functional teams through successful project execution blending your technical excellence with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products. Your role is vital, owning technical projects from initiation through delivery using your expertise in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budget.

What you'll do

  • As a Material Program Manager, you act as the interface between a cross-functional program team focusing on the introduction of new products and the Supply Chain Organization
  • In this role, you are accountable for establishing a Supply Chain for Lam's new products that meets performance, cost, quality, capacity, and on-time-delivery requirements
  • By applying your great communication skills, you provide fact-based guidance to the cross-functional program team, supporting them to make the right decisions & the program to succeed
  • Form & lead cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies
  • Proactively seek and maintain alignments with relevant stakeholders to support program needs and targets
  • Execute new product's cost analyses & cost tracking on a regular basis
  • Identify, communicate and manage Supply Chain related program risks and prevent them from materializing
  • Identify and execute material cost reduction opportunities utilizing should costing, benchmarking, cost driver analysis, functional cost analysis, etc.
  • Provide recommendations for new supplier selection & evaluation
  • Support our new products' fast transition from Pilot to High Volume Manufacturing
  • Identify critical path parts & implement measures enabling production to deliver to need date
  • Present the status of your deliverables as well as continuous improvement activities in management reviews on a regular basis

Your Profile

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Engineering; MBA desirable
  • 5+ years of work experience
  • 3+ years experience in Strategic Procurement/(Project) Purchasing/Procurement Excellence/ Supply Chain Management. Program/ Project Management experience desired
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of product cost drivers & ability to derive corresponding cost reduction measures
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills enabling convincing presentations to leadership, management, and individual contributors
  • High-level of proficiency working with Microsoft Power Point and Excel
  • Professional written and oral communication skills in English
  • Highly intrinsic motivated individual & results driven personality

As a Quality Engineer at Lam, you'll make an impact in ensuring manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards by designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance within the quality management systems (QMS). You design methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the accuracy of production processes and finished products. By analyzing production data and reports, you identify trends and work across functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges.
