Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems such as Pipe clamps and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation, we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for deriving mechanical resistance characteristics for a global installation fixation portfolio, ensuring compliance with international building standards and utilizing advanced structural analysis methods. You will apply testing and finite element analysis techniques, recommend and execute non-linear finite element models, and develop concepts for technical data creation and design methods.

Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing technical documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting hardware and software development projects. You will also contribute to innovation by identifying new opportunities in products, processes, and software while supporting product development and special market requests. Additionally, you will act as a key counterpart for local and regional engineering marketing and application engineering teams.

What you need is:

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (MSc or higher)
  • + 3 years relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of modern design tools such as 2D(3D), FEM
  • Knowledge about Eurocode and national codes
  • Experience in structural engineering with steel
  • Fluent in English (B2 level minimum), all other languages are a plus
  • Mastery of static analyses and ability to explain results to externals
  • Ability and experience to think/imagine in 3D modular support system applications

In this role, you will lead a team of quality managers, ensuring that the quality of our products, services, and documentation within the BU Installations unit meets customer expectations as well as all relevant internal and external standards. You'll play a key part in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the successful delivery of reliable, high-quality solutions to our customers.

You will play a vital role in supporting new product development by ensuring product quality maturity at every project milestone and delivering the highest standards to market. You'll lead the coordination of internal quality issue resolution and manage customer complaints with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Your expertise will also contribute to supplier quality operations, including onboarding, audits, and recertifications. In this role, you'll take ownership of quality risk management during product qualifications and changes, while implementing early warning systems to prevent issues before they arise. Working cross-functionally with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams, you'll ensure seamless integration of quality standards throughout the organization. You'll also drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis and audits, and champion a culture of knowledge sharing by capturing and communicating key lessons learned from projects.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related technical field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Quality Management
  • Solid knowledge of quality management tools, methodologies, and relevant standards
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong track record in planning and executing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 level); German Skills are a plus
